Promised Land [CD-ROM]

Queensryche’s follow-up to the double-platinum Empire is something of an acquired taste, but it’s well worth the effort. There’s considerable variety here; the heavy progressive-rock of “I Am I” and the ballad “Bridge” were hit singles, but there’s also the funk-inflected “Disconnected”, the edgy, spooky “Lady Jane”, and the piano-and-vocals “Someone Else?”. The title track is probably the stronge…

I Love kosher wine – a sauvignon blanc from New Zealand

In recent years New Zealand has become a real success for the wine. Not all the wine long ago they were from virtually unknown grapes such as Isabelle, who is not even a member of the family grape tank. Today, their signature grape, Sauvignon Blanc, has won a lot of thunder from France. New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wines are appreciated worldwide, and are quite distinctive.

The wine reviewed below comes from the wine region of South Island Marlborough, the most famous wine country's area, one known for its Sauvignon Blancs. Unusual for New Zealand, this wine is kosher. It was flash-pasteurized, Mevushal is the technical word, which means that observant Jews consider to be kosher, regardless of who it serves. It was once meant Mevushal mulled wine, a quasi-destruction its taste and to eliminate its use in pagan rituals. The currently used flash pasteurization process is much smoother. As you will see, the wine reviewed below is certainly not flavourless.

Wine Goose Bay Sauvignon Blanc revision K / P 2007 Alcohol 13.0% About $ 20.00

Begin by quoting marketing materials. Tasting Note: Pale yellow color, the nose shows intense aromas of sweet pea pods and passion fruit. In the medium Full-bodied, tasty tropical fruit and gooseberry flavors with pea pods on the finish, which is amusing. Suggestion: white fish gras with tropical fruit salsa. And now for my review.

The first sip tasted pea pods. The wine was a little greasy. First put in issue and sour chicken breast grilled trade potatoes roasted in chicken fat and a salad (more of a salsa) tomato puree tomato, paprika, pepper and vegetable oil. I noticed a good balance between crisp acidity and sweetness. The acidity increased slightly with roasted potatoes, done a good job of cleaning the palate. On the other hand, the wine was weak when paired with the salad.

Second association involved an omelet. acidity of the wine is crisp and refreshing, but I'm tired of the taste and smell pea pod. The grape tomatoes accompanied removed the offending taste, but there was not all that much flavor left.

The last meal meatless lasagna around with tomatoes, peas, cottage cheese, and sliced olives topped with mozzarella cheese. The wine has finally managed to get rid of that taste pea pod, it appears bright acidity, but not much fruit. I finished with a cheesecake light with a graham cracker crust. I think maybe the sugar that brought pea pods.

I ended up with pairs of cheese. With Provolone there was something in the background, probably grapefruit. Then I went to an Emmentaler (Switzerland), but even with this quality, tasty (hazelnut) to the knowledge of cheese, the taste is undesirable income.

verdict final. It does not happen very often, but managed to taste spoil everything. In fact, I am not at all sure that even without these I would like pea pods buy this wine again. There are so many great Sauvignon Blancs of New Zealand. But this is not one of them. If you want kosher wine, there are many other choices in a variety of price ranges. Stay. I will review several of them.
