Entertainment, restaurants and bars in Coventry

It is fair to say that Coventry is one of the towns which provides much entertainment local residents but, so far at least, is not a destination that attracts people to it for its nightlife. With two universities in the city during school term time the city is usually more intense than when the student is not there. However, there are many good bars, restaurants, theaters and clubs available in the city. In addition, within 15 minutes of the city is the scene NEC (National Exhibition Centre Arena) and the touring shows that brings to the West Midlands.

Bars and Pubs:
One of the oldest pubs in Coventry, with a history dating back to 1620 is on the Malt Shovel Spon End, not far from the rink at the west end of downtown. It has three service areas and you can choose to sit in a "traditional" or something a little more modern field and cosmopolitan. The pub often has live music on Friday and Saturday night, but currently only serves food at lunch and Sunday. It is not surprising, given the proximity to the city of Coventry Rugby, there is a pub in Coventry with a strong theme of rugby.
