Top 5 wines for the summer by leading wine supplier Philippines relesed YATS Wine Cellars

Summer is not only heat and cold when it comes to wine selection. It also has much to do with the kind of cooking that uses ingredients that come into season between February and June of each year. Now serving in all fine restaurants in the Philippines are lobsters, oysters, mackerel and barracuda. Some of these calls for a crisp racy dry white wine, then topped the list of YATS Wine Cellars for a wine of this summer 2000 Chablis Lamblin et Fils.

Great contender for the first place especially for those who have a weakness for Bubblies, is this crowd-like, one second of the Rose Loire Valley. Creamy, sweet, easy go down and absolutely delicious to drink alone or for a variety of summer food including seafood is not only, but also white meats and cold meats with salads.

White wine and sparkling wine does not meet wine lovers all summer. Red to come into the equation too. Fortunately for Manila and Clark wine lovers, the fabulous – perfect even – vintage 2005 is slowly coming into drinking status. Recommended for fun this summer in the Philippines is the wine red 2005 Cotes de Castillon, Bordeaux region right near the Bank of Saint-Emilion and Pomerol. The Castle is Hyota a rich, sweet and well balanced red that give pleasure for 10-15 years or more. Red meat, full air and even grill a good wine with dinner the evening summer.

Taking the afternoon off to read a book in the shade an acacia tree in Clark Philippines, next to a lake perhaps? Sauvignon Blanc is unbeatable when it comes to this kind of parameters. This Sauvignon Blanc Wine Cellars YATS from Argentina, which gives New Zealand a run for its money. Argentina as we all know, is famous for its Malbec, but this is not a One-Trick-Pony. Sauvignon Blanc grown in high altitude vineyards near the ocean seems to have the same appeal. In this cellar, we bring pork and veal in the summer menu.

Then last, but certainly not least, is the addition of choice to the list of summer wines – a pinot noir, what else. The Cono Sur Pinot Black weighs like the best value for money of all the wines selected for this summer YATS Wine Cellars. It is a versatile wine that not only brings light gamey red meat in the picture but also fish such as salmon or fish with tomato-based sauce.

YATS Wine Cellars began in Clark Freeport, Pampanga, a mere 90 minute drive along the highway north of Manila. First class wines can be found in the cellars of fine dining Restaurant and Wine works YATS Lounge located inside Mimosa Leisure Estate Clark, just before the Casino. Clark YATS Wine Center – a separate building of two floors located on the main road in Clark Freeport.

Public tastings are held from time to time and sometimes in Clark, Manila. Ticket prices range from P1500 to p500 for these theme nights are managed by professionals, not wine merchants sponsorship, pushy salesmen or banners sticking to ruin the evening. Each ticket contains a the number of beads that can be exchanged for a tasting of a wine to pay between those with a lineup that often includes wines that are quite old and expensive. This makes wine tasting events YATS the most profitable place to explore new options and expand our knowledge of wine through meetings firsthand.

Wine Seminars were conducted in the past and may be offered from time to time. These seminars with intermediate to advanced topics that are intended to provide useful and practical knowledge for wine enthusiasts. Topics are targeted treatment depth. Most seminars include a tasting tour after the conference.

And wine dinners are held either YATS Restaurants Clark or in collaboration with other restaurants and organizers. private wine dinners can also be arranged for groups of 14 or more. Even Asian food can be part of a dinner YATS wines.

Sangiovese grapes Italys

Italian immigrants from Tuscany Sangiovese grapes probably introduced in California in the late 1800s, perhaps the family Segheshio of "Chianti Station" near Geyserville. It is a component variety of the field mixing in many former North Coast vineyards and Gold countries that are often otherwise identified as Zinfandel.

Sanguis Jovis, the Latin origin of the varietal name, literally means "blood Jupiter "and it is likely that Sangiovese (aka Sangioveto or San Gioveto) was known by Etruscan winemakers, although the first literary reference it was in 1722. It is probably indigenous to Tuscany, the most famous wine is Chianti.

The basic mixture was Chianti created by Baron Ricasoli in the 1890s. This represents an average of 70% Sangiovese grapes from the base (with canaiolo 15% [red], and 15% Trebbiano [Blank] and sometimes a little] Colorino [red). Many vineyards are traditionally planted with the mixture of varieties. It is difficult even for Italians follow their own evolving and highly detailed wine laws, which specify permitted grape varieties, maximum yields per acre, minimum alcohol content, minimum standards of aging before the sale, etc. Currently, the minimum allowed sangiovese in Chianti is 90%. other Varieties that can be used now include Malvasia toscana, a white grape far superior to the ubiquitous Trebbiano. However, the total grapes White used shall not exceed 5% of the mixture.

Somehow Chianti is Sangiovese Cabernet Sauvignon as it is in Bordeaux. Both form the basis of wines normally blended with other varietals and both by themselves share a certain distinctive elegance and complexity, when well done.

There are at least 14 distinct clones of sangiovese. At one point, there were some attempts in Italy to identify two "families" Grosso and Piccolo, although this seems to have a more commercial basis ("mines better than yours") that ampelographic or taste of evidence to justify This attempt at classification.

The fruits are slow to mature and late maturity. With relatively thin skins, it tends to rot in the humidity and does not mature well if planted above an elevation of 1,500 feet. Sangiovese vineyards with limestone soil seem to produce wines with aromas energetic.

More shots of the many wines from France

Perfect pairs

April 12, 2007 – as published in the Naperville Sun and Beacon News

By Bill Garlough

Last spring, I was invited to a dream trip to wine lovers – a tour several major wine regions to taste the latest vintage barrel. The French believe the 2005 vintage may be the best in 40 years. As happens now for the year 2006 (and is an annual event), I thought that this experience should be shared.

Our first visit was the Rhone Valley. Northern Rhone is mountainous and has steep vineyards. The primary red grape is Syrah, with bold, spicy notes and pepper. We visited Domaine Vernay and were treated during 2003 – 2005 vintages of Syrah. We have had discussions in depth on the height good rootstock, the technical force the roots to grow deep into the ground, bleeding leaves, tying the new shoots and the use of fertilizers organic. Winegrowing, after all, is agriculture.

Next we visited the region of Chateauneuf-du-Pape in the southern Rhone. We visited Chateau Domaine Berthert-Nayme, where the vineyards are literally covered with round, lime baseball businesses in the vicinity of the Rhone. Owners Castle has generously treated to a sumptuous dinner. To share their hospitality, last October, the same Chateau owners were United States for a wine tour and we were glad to receive from us. That evening, we enjoyed a kitchen and a selection wines from California and local.

To the west toward Bordeaux, we traveled in the region of Cahors and visited the winery Clos Triguedina which wines were used by President Chirac for state dinners. They are a beautiful red with 100 percent malbec grapes called Prince Probus a dessert wine elegant white wines and specialty using the old method of drying wine grapes in an oven before the process fermentation. This darkens the color, concentrated aromas and aptly named Black Wine.

For our second week we went to Bordeaux divided by the Gironde River in two major wine regions. The left bank includes the Medoc and Graves regions with Cabernet Sauvignon. The right bank is mainly the Saint-Emilion, which focuses on merlot.

We began our visit to Saint-Emilion Bordeaux Chateau Cantenac. Other wineries Local tour included Castles Ausone Cheval Blanc and Angelus. Among these, I was struck by the sheer elegance and silky texture of the Horse White and layers of black fruit in the wine Chateau Angelus. These are two of my favorites.

To give us an overview of the 2005 vintage of Bordeaux, we have visited many wine wholesalers leading. As some tasting rooms of samples has literally hundreds of chateaux (wineries), I asked staff to please show me the top 20 in the room to reduce the field. He had to constantly use spit buckets to survive. In general The 2005 vintage is big, tannic and has layers of fruit. It should be a great year.

We started our tour left bank of the Medoc region north and worked our way south. The designations, we covered included Saint-Estephe, Pauillac, St. Julien, Margaux, Graves, Pessac-Leognan and Sauternes. We visited four to eight wineries a day. Probably more impressive today included Chateaux Latour, Lafite-Rothschild, Haut-Brion and Chateau d'Yquem. Undoubtedly, these are some of the best wines I ever tasted.

The castles themselves were beautiful and some were works of virtual art. I can better appreciate the feeling of pride the French feel for their industry wine, with its rich history and tradition. I was really gun over to France by their architecture, culture, cuisine, warm hospitality and the year 2005. Wonderful!

As the trip covered wines ranging from sweet wines of the Rhone, and Bordeauxs, their diversity does not put specific recommendations or specific month.

Please visit your local wine merchant and ask for their recommendations. The 2005 vintage is probably not yet available, but the 2000 and 2003 vintages have been excellent. The only vintage that is average / below average 2002 vintage.

Entertainment, restaurants and bars in Coventry

It is fair to say that Coventry is one of the towns which provides much entertainment local residents but, so far at least, is not a destination that attracts people to it for its nightlife. With two universities in the city during school term time the city is usually more intense than when the student is not there. However, there are many good bars, restaurants, theaters and clubs available in the city. In addition, within 15 minutes of the city is the scene NEC (National Exhibition Centre Arena) and the touring shows that brings to the West Midlands.

Bars and Pubs:
One of the oldest pubs in Coventry, with a history dating back to 1620 is on the Malt Shovel Spon End, not far from the rink at the west end of downtown. It has three service areas and you can choose to sit in a "traditional" or something a little more modern field and cosmopolitan. The pub often has live music on Friday and Saturday night, but currently only serves food at lunch and Sunday. It is not surprising, given the proximity to the city of Coventry Rugby, there is a pub in Coventry with a strong theme of rugby. The Gatehouse Tavern on Hill Street near the Theatre of Belgrade, is the pub. Reconstructed from an abandoned factory, it involves construction stained glass windows representing the nation's rugby Six, is the owner's dedication to the sport. Guest beers form the local Church End brewery are available and a large garden makes it an even more inviting pub to visit in summer. A member of the Scream chain of pubs, Aardvark on the Butts in the Downtown Eastside very popular with the student population. Describing itself as the ideal place to unwind and relax in a funky, unpretentious, ideal for meet friends for a drink or eat something. However, people in various ways to describe as dirty, dive, a good pub in ruins and other comments can not really be printed here! Despite its proximity to Coventry University on Far Gosford Street beer engine is very popular with students and locals, in fact it is considered much like a local pub as one frequented by students. Under the new management of the pub serves beer and has prompted re-installed a piano in a bar during an impromptu Sing-Along.

Restaurants:
A good place to eat in Coventry is the Fillin restaurant in the Ramada Hotel at the Butts in the west end of downtown. While you can have lunch for less than admirable £ 10 a meal of three courses in the evening will cost £ 30, £ 40, excluding drinks. The menu is a mix of British and Italian cuisine, which is essentially a theme of Venice to her. The Coombe Abbey Hotel Binley east of downtown also has a fine restaurant. The a la carte menu here follows a more traditional British cuisine, featuring steaks and several fish dishes. The prices here are quite Cheap, budget up to £ 50 per person for a three-course dinner, before adding the wine or beverages. The wine list is probably the best in the city, it has 94 classic wines of Burgundy as Chanson Gevrey Chambertin 1990 £ 46.50 and A l Cru Chablis Fourchume just £ 37.50 a bottle, and any a range of new world wines and non-vintage. If you are here to celebrate something, he also luxury Grand Cru 1995 Champagne – Dom Perignon Moet & Chandon – 110 pounds per bottle. Back in the city center, on St Martins Lane Brown Restaurant – which includes the bar and Covent Garden – this provides a better the average restaurant experience at Coventry. Opened in 1973, he has a magnificent facade on the track and was mentioned in the Good Food Guide. His menus have an influence much Italian and French and a three course meal, excluding drinks, will be around £ 20 – £ 25 per person.

Entertainment:
Careys Nightclub & Bar Butts in the center of town is a popular venue for a night in Coventry. It has two floors and is used as a place of passage for bands, comedians and all kinds of dances. Usually on Saturday nights upstairs is the main place of dance, but it is also open evenings are on Thursday and Friday. Downstairs is used mainly for orchestras, but at least once a fortnight is delivered to an apparition or "open mic" Comedy Club. The Warwick Arts Centre is located in the campus of the University of Warwick, south of downtown. He has four performance areas that respond to theatrical productions, a concert hall seating 1200 people, a theater that can accommodate just over 500 people, a studio with about 85 square meters of space performance and a small cinema. theater productions are held by small hikers or local professional groups, while the musical productions function classical orchestras, rock and folk, and international contemporary musicians. The center is also a place used by many top tour County comedians and poets. The Belgrade Theatre in the city center, was opened in 1958 and is one of the buildings which formed part program of post-war reconstruction. The building is constructed partly from wood gift as a "thank you gift" by the citizens of Belgrade, in what was then Yugoslavia. The room contains more than 850 people and is the place where luminaries such as Trevor Nunn, Michael Crawford and Joan Plowright first made a name. Now a Grade II listed building has been recently renovated and reopened in September 2007.

The castle also produces a second wine from young vines, La Chapelle de La Mission, since the year 1991. [1]

In the early 16th century, the land belonged to the family of Rostaing, home of M. de la Tour d'Esquivens, then called Arrejedhuys, planted with vines before it is transmitted Family Lestonnac in 1540 [2]. It remained under family ownership until 1654 when it was desired by Madame de Lestonnac for Vincentians Fathers, the priests of the Mission of St. Vincent de Paul. [3] The priests cultivated grapes for nearly 130 years until the French Revolution, leaving behind monastic foundations which have been expropriated by the state. [4] It was acquired by Martial Victor Vaillant in November 1792 for 302,000 pounds, and nearly a hundred years it was owned by the family Chiapella. [2] [3]

In 1919 it was sold by Frederick Victor Cousteau Otto Woltner. [2] [3] Woltner son, Ferdinand and Henry, regarded as innovative viticulture, the restructuring of vineyards to produce better grapes. Henry Woltner which became manager of the estate in 1921, in addition to being credited as the pioneer of the use of glass lined tanks in the winemaking process in 1926 [3], came to be known as a genius "wine maker" [5].

For many years considered the chief challenger to his story more important close neighbor Chateau Haut-Brion, La Mission Haut-Brion wines sold at high prices, but it was considered justified because they "produced remarkable bottle". [4] The prolific Woltners ran operations at the nearby Chateau La Tour Haut-Brion for the widow Marie Coustau since the death of her husband in 1923 until his death in 1933 to leave the castle to the family Woltner In his will, and in 1931 was the Woltners acquired the nearby Chateau Laville Haut-Brion that they produce a dry white wine considered one of the best Graves [5].

After Woltner death of Henry in 1974 and his brother shortly after the estate was run by Frances and Francis Woltner Dewavrin, daughter and son-Fernand Woltner. [3] While the standards have been maintained, family discord has led to the sale of the estate with La Tour Haut-Brion and Laville Haut-Brion in 1983 [1], [3] the Domaine Clarence Dillon, owner of Chateau Haut-Brion since 1935 [6] while Dewavrin spent running in the castle Woltner Howell Mountain AVA. [7] Although the historical competition between Haut-Brion and La Mission has been absent in recent years, thanks to the supervision of Jean-Bernard Delmas Dillon Vineyard local original estate was allowed, and the Mission has remained distinctive [1].

American wine critic Robert Parker presented the Parker hundred points up for the 2006 La Mission Haut Brion, [8] making it six times Parker has given the cellar of this partition. [9 Jancis] Robinson, The Mission describes MW as "insider wine par excellence" [1], while David Pepper, MW holds a consistent performance of the estate during the century latter as a justification for classifying the Mission as Premier Cru, as has been done for Château Mouton Rothschild in 1973. [3], [10]

In March 2010, it was announced that the wine of Chateau Laville Haut-Brion cease to be bottled under the label, and instead produced under the name Castle La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc, starting with the 2009 vintage.

RESTORATION OF WINE – Saves The Day FOR DINNER receive at home

"So far so good," murmured his wife.

Last she said that it was almost involuntary, and his fingers were two buttons below to remove her blouse. But this time was different – there was a little romance in it. It was a pat on the shoulder of the Lion for imminent success of a social dinner party held in a critical favorite restaurants Manila. For him, it was of course all the work. For richer – and do not forget attractive – woman, it was a good dose of glamor and glory. But He does not complain. As a police officer in New York say that in a television interview life after taking a bullet in the cheek (bottom) during a seizure of drugs, I just do my job. "

Everyone at the table agreed that the most formal dinners have been a robbery of a poorly preserved national treasure called time. But his attitude well-rounded 49-years, the harmonious integration of its sub-good looks to emit a certain attraction delighted that the table 10 of the salad to the soup.

Karina is 37-years, other magnificent half – very desirable, but very busy. She was also secretly welcomed the choice of this restaurant to hold this dinner, and the choice of husband for everything else. Clearly it about this marriage. Curiously, he loved and he loved it.

After 10 dinners per month for six months on, these things may seem insignificant exceptionally to the host. After all, more formal dinners tend to be well sculpted effusion of mediocrity extravagant. It must be fate then, that someone must antithesize the couple socially prosperous. As the quail were served on china rustic dancer of 24 years, aspiring / server made a stunning achievement that would be seen as defying the dead return to a time more civilized few centuries ago. She pours the wine into the glass wrong wrong. Or was that bad wine glass right, or good wine in the glass badly …? Heck, the wine the bottle is red (pinot noir) and wine in the glass was red (Merlot) – Pwede Na! Not since the medieval times of war Burgundy was against Bordeaux with great contempt if, now a mere echo of inspiring battle cry "Today, we fight!

The sliding doors open again, rewind – take two.

You have a very important dinner for 10. Gentlemen will be jackets and ties, ladies in cocktail dresses. The good news is that you have a license to kill P 60,000. The bad news is that you are the host. News could get worse in a hurry if the old Murphy (Murphy's Law) came uninvited. Murphy is still working overtime to spice up your act with a little sparkling disasters. Then there would be a lot of publicity of the most effective kind – word of mouth.

There are currently two ways to skin this cat.

First option – you can do what most people would do without thinking and that is to throw the dinner in a restaurant premium. In terms of money matters, P 3,000 / head, 10 times total P 30,000 for food and beverages. Add another P 25,000 for seven bottles of wine forgettable. But you can not make it too regular, or your guests could just notice with dubious value. Hmm, let's see – is P 55,000. How about advice? OK, we'll call it an even bigger 60. Push him away from the table and draw a rough night in front hosts request a dessert wine at the end of evening. This is another great even 10, I thank you very much.

Clear accumulator. Now consider the second option. entertain your guests with an elegant dinner at home with the help of a professional. Again, we will start by counting the beans.

Cost Dinner for entertaining at home

Shopping money for food P 10,000

Personal Chef Catering Wine and P 35,000

The bill for dinner home P 45,000

If saving 15,000 P does not do much for you, here's a kicker – you get to show that the house Million Dollar yours. The dining room overlooked much appreciate a little life and romance too. But it really work? Oh yes, it and here is how, piece by piece.

Personal Chef

A band of culinary staff works quickly behind the scene. One chef and land commissioner in your driveway-Day They are armed with up-in-place of their production kitchen. Four hours before curtain, March curious boxes in your kitchen by rear door. This may be a good time for you to take this bath for long. There is not much fun watching the preparations of major illusion, even if it is David Copperfield? And yes, you will need to give the command of your regular kitchen staff officer temporarily Culinary tour commander. Who knows, the kitchen staff can learn a few things from this joint exercise.

Shopping

The major problem with the entertaining (as opposed to eat) is anathema to the essence of the document processor called "menu. Most Menus do not change for several months, even years, if you go to the house steak medium. They are irrelevant. Even if "special menu" are designed for special dinners, it is generally a low remix tired old tunes ingredients in hibernating in the freezer for months. How to excite your dinner guests then?

When you dine, your personal chef goes to the market and took the best stuff around. There is no reason for him to do otherwise. He did not respond to food costs. But there is a budget shopping of course. After all, this is not heaven, you know. What a refreshing change to his life cooker in the kitchen? For dinner, he has 10,000 in its P pocket to engage. Without a doubt, he can not help but stretch the peso to the limit – an occupational hazard. This menu is what he has in mind for a case of this magnitude.

Wine Catering – working with professionals

The component of wine is the stumbling block of perennials in the formal dinners. So many things are dying to go wrong. So many people are still willing to talk about these things. And they certainly talk about, so far, many weeks.

We are not talking only bring bottles to the table and pour into glasses. We talk about all aspects of the wine label. The wine selection means wine pairing food cons, the understanding of operating temperatures, any pitchers, glasses of wine and wine specific to using the standards – Works. Nobody can expect regular household staff know much about wine service. Therefore, the restoration of the wine is essential. But how does the wine of restoration work? Catering Wine is not a new concept and it is not a new product in this society. But Many people have not explored this possibility. It costs nothing to avoid major embarrassment.

The caterer offers a selection of wine wines for your approval. In this example, approximately 52 liters of wine should be sufficient, on average a little over half a bottle per person – an amount civilized. Only the most ignorant caterers wine would even extended its budget evenly across all seven cylinders. Instead he used a few bottles cheap but decent to start the evening by booking good money in the budget for the "recommended wines. The showcase featured wines, dishes Featured – usually entrees – to create a conversation piece. Yes, it's just show biz.

Now look at what your guests drink for four hours this evening and talk for the next four weeks:

Total Cost

By Price Wine Bottle

2 bottles of Bergerac 1999 P 800 P 1600

2 bottles of Chablis 2001 P 1600 P 800 Small

- The wines recommended –

2 bottles of 1975 Ch Croque-Michotte P 4500 P 9000

– Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

1 bottle of 1983 Ch Du Mayne, P P 7000 7000

- Sauternes Barsac

Bill Total commercial wine P19, 200

Wine glasses, like silverware, china and candles are all part of the atmosphere as paints and other decoration in the dining room. It certainly enhances the experience but it may equally well colored foam sarcasm if you do no attention to these details. Your guests will have four hours to notice these things.

Catering Good wine never fails to come up with glasses special wine feature. For the first two wines, they will use wine glasses whatever they find in your home. When you arrive at the 30-year-old Croque-Michotte Château de Saint-Emilion, the elegant red Bordeaux glasses erase the impression your guests to previous cuts. These small toys Riedel cost P 4,000 per room to not keep us all boxes of them at home. And of course we must also have the sexy-sweet Sauternes Glass to drink wine from 1983 vintage equally compelling Chateau Du Mayne Barsac, which are both shown in the picture. The shape of the lenses bring out the flavor and bouquet of wine specific. They are also a feast for the eyes.

Speaking of details, here is another fun part of working with professionals. The wine is always good caterer provide you a summary of the wines presented. This is a one-minute shortcut to connoisseur. The two pages between covers are slightly for the eyes of the host, of course. This is not verbose course, but there is a sufficient dose of this knowledge enable customers to develop expectations.

Wine selection must go perfectly with each course of dinner. Given this, the caterer and the chef wine staff must come from the same source. Unless you are anchored in the dark art of arbitration, it is probably not a good idea to get them from different companies.

When it comes to issues as fickle as the reputation and stature, it is difficult to understand why someone would even consider leaving things in the hands of foreigners and lovers. the risk for stocks, currencies and wild nights in town, not issues wine and food. Catering Wine is something that is precious in home entertaining – the peace of mind.

* * * * *

In the director's cut, the scene is played very differently. Dancing boy is replaced by a wine server 27-year-old charming but very professional. Wine glasses containing wine leftover from previous courses have been deleted and replaced by the calm Riedel Glasses Red Bordeaux for Croque-Michotte '75. Although nearly 30 years has been cooling in a decanter 13C – the temperature required to serve a Merlot-based red is matured Bordeaux – the bottle was presented to each guest. At the same time Leo shared his remarks connoisseur of wine featured with the table. As you recall, these comments were delivered to him a day before the caterer of wine. admiring eyes collected Leo as he combined fact with poetry to produce magic.

When the evening arrived at Chateau du Mayne 1983 cute wine glasses Sauternes graced the table, always difficult to please Karina began to feel irrevocably guaranteed. Yes, it was very special in spite of the inevitable damage of a few pesos and the evil of some indiscretions unnecessary. What really matters to Karina now is that life was very special, and if this were not enough, that his was his.

Investment in the wine market in March 2010 Report

| Market Report March 2010

Background
Albany Portfolio Management (APM) was established in early 2009 to provide a broader base of investors with access to wine market and operates in conjunction with Albany Vintners, a famous and long established wholesale of fine wine. APM has a simple goal, to add richness to customers.

2010 starts with a bang …
The wine market has started positively in the new year with the Liv-Ex 100 – benchmark of the industry – up to about 5.8% by the end of February. The index has fully recovered of the DIP credit crisis led to the end of 08, and is now tantalizingly close to the 2008 high (only 5% below). Including Liv-ex's Fine Wine Investable Index, which tracks 24 wines most frequently found in an investment portfolio, reached a record level at the end of January.

Whether this pace can be maintained remains to be seen – at the current pace of growth we find in the market for more than 40% by the end of the year – but there is because many remain optimistic. While growth in January (2.7%) may have been reinforced by heavy buying in the approach of the new year China, following the largest increase in February (3%) is a consequence of the confidence that the assembly and optimism. Basically, the demand from markets today's dominant Chinese and Asian continues to grow exponentially – the impact that we can not overemphasize.

The table below documents the price performance for each of the wines recommended by PAM for the first 12 months of operations from March 9 to Feb. 10. All Recommended wines have enjoyed – some dramatically – with prices rising an average of 23.8% to date and continues to grow at a annualized rate of 56.8%. In the same period, the Liv-ex 100 rose 20.9%.

Because the growth rate is the volume high profits was taken naturally modest beginning with a few customers who choose to cash in on their investments. Those who have achieved an average return net of all costs, including our management fee of 13.4% on an average dose of 6 months.

Market price "now" figure is the average price for different wines as shown in the Liv-ex at the time of the composition. Liv-ex market attracts tens feed large merchants, brokers and auction houses. Please note that this figure is indicative only and is intended to give a price indication that it would pay for the wines of the same today.

The illiquid nature and rarity of some super wines – including Petrus, Ausone and Le Pin – means that the availability of negotiation and is both narrow and sporadic. Indeed, at the time of the composition, the market has been lacking Le Pin 00 and Liv-ex was not quoted an average price for Le Pin Petrus 01 or 08. We used a reasonable alternative in each case. The wines of these castles tend to appear during inactive periods of time, followed by sudden and often dramatic "steps" in their performance curves so that prices the market can vary wildly at times. We suggest that the market price "now" is to Le Pin 04 is excessively high.

And the politics of the portfolio selection

MPA objective is to identify low risk, high potential capital appreciation. Consequently, our portfolios are generally built from the top Chateaux of Bordeaux (Currently 93%) and Burgundy (7%). PAM trafficking is well established, internationally renowned estate with a proven, background demonstrated and loans on the secondary market. The wines are selected from the following categories:

1. vintage bottle of liquor approach optimal: Like wines approach this important time in their lives, they become more desirable, leading to an increase in demand. They also have a useful feature which is not seen in any other asset class, a supply curve perfectly round. Each bottle drinking can never be replaced.

2. En Primeur (Futures): This is where the wine is still in the barrel and generally at its lowest price. greatest potential to win, but the volatility traditional and a higher risk warnings

. Undervalued wines last 3 vintages: We carefully monitor the purchasing habits the demand and changes in taste (especially China) for wines from recent vintages to identify undervalued opportunities.

APM is risk averse when it comes to New World wines because of the narrow exit markets and the lack of clarity in the pricing. To date PAM did not favor New World wines in all fields.

Market Summary

The Vintage 1996, which is the backbone of many of our clients' portfolios, has dominated trading in the formative months of 2010, This represents approximately 16% of trading on Liv-Ex in January. 1996 produced wines of huge, complex and powerful in the Médoc that are held in high esteem by critics. These wines need long cellaring and patience and are now entering their optimum drinking age, where attention increased.

These wines are now purchased for consumption, thereby increasing their value by reducing supply and pressure on prices. Only Lafite far has shown its true colors – an appreciation of 36% since we recommended it in July 09 – but the trade increased in the top 5 in January with Latour wines take the lead. We were a little disappointed by the relatively small assessment to date for Latour and Margaux (20.6% and 22.4% respectively), but am sure they are set to bright stars to our customers in 2010. Latour was 96 Featured Wine Liv-Ex, in their report on the market in February.

Elsewhere, an interesting effect of polarization in the market is developing. While top brands prosper there is a huge stock of any respectable vintages of Chateau Bordeaux (Vintages and poor) for which buyers are rather thin on the ground. This gives two different images of the market with merchants and traders struggling to survive while the upper end market moving forward. This polarization effect has been compounded by the Chateaux & Domaines Diagio sale in the States, but it now seems safe this will have little or no training effect on the investment market.

A star Rising … … ..

Recently, we have been tipping Chateau Duhart-Milon, which promises a very bright future. Until This relatively recent, the estate produces wines quite spectacular and even the use of "Castle" in the name seems a bit optimistic Duhart no stone building on the estate, if "big discount" would be a bit fairer.

However, the estate was purchased by Dynasty Rothschild in 1962, and after considerable investment, new vines and a touch of magic Domaines Barons de Rothschild, the quality has improved significantly, as image and has the pedigree. Since 1999 Duhart was under the control of Charles Knight, CEO of Lafite and for improving the profile of its second wine, Carruades De Lafite, so much so that it is now considered the equal of the first growths.

Couple this with a Rothschild re-branding and demand through the roof – especially in China with his love of all things Rothschild.

We believe that this wine will follow in the footsteps of De Carruades Lafite, which, under the helm Knight grew stratosphere (the jump from 05 to 500 pounds to 2000 pounds in the last two years alone). We first point Duhart last 05 years at £ 460 and continue to the point today from £ 600.
