Sylvia Plath – poet, novelist, American Icon
In talking with my wife the quality of education that women receive colleges in the woman, Mary Patricia said in Wellesley production Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Smith College Sylvia Plath. From Clinton we know much, but Sylvia Plath, we know less.
Sylvia Plath attended Smith from 1950-1955, and graduated summa cum laude, winning a Fulbright scholarship to Cambridge. There, she met poet Ted Hughes, whom she married later.
Not only was she talented poet but also an essayist and novelist fine. In all types, it shows a black series for brooding, melancholy and self-destruction. His literary production, a largely autobiographical, shows the struggle of a tortured soul in a cage and bound, and that only death could release.
Poetry
His poem "Papa, we can see the capture and death imagery in charge:
You do not, you do not
Any more, footwear Black
In which I lived like a foot
For thirty years, poor and white,
Hardly daring to breathe or Achoo.
Dad, I had to kill you.
You died before I had time –
Marble-heavy, a bag full of God,
Ghastly statue with gray toe
Big as a Frisco seal
In another poem, she suggests the nearly died from an accident at the age of bathing 10 years. We also know that she also attempted suicide when she was 20. Plath has been hospitalized for swallowing a bottle of sleeping pills and crawling through a hole in a wall in his cellar, where his mother found two days later.
The Bell Jar

On February 11, 1963 Sylvia Plath sealed the rooms between herself and her children Freda and Nicolas in his apartment London, left the bread and milk out, and lit the gas. His body was discovered the next day by a nurse and a regular construction worker. She died at the age of 30 years.
Conclusion
During his short life (born October 27, 1932 in Boston), she managed to write every day. She left autobiographical and confessional journals, diaries, letters, and many other documents from which his life can be reconstructed.
While writing for many is a form of catharsis, Sylvia Plath was a temporary lifeline, at best, tenuous.
Smith College has much to be proud of having produced a true literary figure in Sylvia Plath. Although many students prefer mixed colleges, colleges of women have an important role to play in the education of literary luminaries.

One of the ten small hotels is the Inn at Little Washington
The Inn at Little Washington in Washington, Virginia has been ranked among the ten best small hotels for years. There is no sign to point you in the right direction, but when you see the white building with flags, you know you arrive at the hostel. A majestic Dalmatian with a string of beads around the neck will welcome you as a member of staff takes your luggage, taking you a small niche for refreshments of cookies and herbal tea.
The smiling face of the portrait of Brillat Savarin, in the 18th century, hangs above the fireplace seemed to give its approval. Through French doors is a lovely courtyard with tables beautifully set with crystal and silver, giving you an indication of what is to come. The superb collection of art and antiques, flowers everywhere, sumptuous fabrics and wall coverings tease eye.
The delightful little inn, established in 1978, was the creation of Patrick O'Connell and Reinhardt Lynch's partner. Just to assure this quality Inn, it was the first company to receive five stars for their accommodation and five stars for his restaurant guide Mobil Travel. AAA awarded the Inn's highest rating, the 5 Diamond Award for both lodging and food. It is the first to receive this award Inn AAA.
The brilliant scene in London and set designer, Joyce Evans, created 15 beautiful rooms and suites, without ever coming to America. Almost all the furniture is purchased in England. She then had each item and shipped at the hostel. Once at the hostel, they have been set up as a giant puzzle. The suites are on two floors with balcony overlooking the beautiful garden.
Recently, they added House of Mayors. This beautiful home has a private courtyard, two fireplaces and room has a beamed ceiling. The inn adds just the right key to the magic of the place. huge bouquets of flowers will fill a closet in the reading area of a room. Or a canopy will be covered by fabric sofa exotic colors vivid. Each room is unique and beautiful in every detail.
It's like a dream when you enter the dining room. Absolute pure luxury awaits you. Each table is very romantic with silk lampshades in a pink floating above. Reinhardt Lynch is the host and he keeps a watchful eye dazzling creations Patrick arrived at 30 tables comfortable. If you can believe it, each surpassing the previous course. The sommelier marry a wine with your meal ordered from the wine cellar containing over 14,000 bottles of wine. The Herald Tribune that doubled the restaurant of top ten restaurants in the world.

The service at the inn is perfect with an eye to detail. Travel & Leisure readers rate the best ever the world. You can share in the breakfast room sun terrace by the garden or have it sent to your room. A wonderful touch is that the staff will pack you a picnic exquisite and map a route through the scenic countryside where you can see some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. Make sure to return in time for tea in the afternoon.
The Inn at Little Washington has won top honors of all organizations that considers food and accommodation. They have been consistent, year after year.
Opposite the hostel is a newly renovated hostel, which was built 1740. No longer a tavern now serves The Inn Shops. There are 5 beautifully decorated rooms offer all the dishes of delicacies from the hostel. All five rooms retain their original identity in the 1800s. provision of food of all kinds are offered for sale in the old kitchen. Things like jellies and jams and spices. The dining room has original glass and porcelain. The old general store has become an art gallery. In the former Tavern Room you can choose from antique furniture, silver or pewter.
The Inn at Little Washington is a must. When you are in the Washington area, Virginia, why not treat yourself and be a customer. You will not be disappointed.
