Crisis in Napa (Part I)
It is impossible to dismiss the appeal of the Napa Valley. Nearly six million wine drinkers make their Road to Route 29 each year, jumping to a tasting room to another glittery. This traffic flow – mass production Direct selling opportunities – coupled with a love story in the world with high quality, highly rated boutique brands, fueled the surge unprecedented price in Napa.
Few wineries in Napa Valley boutique grow grapes. Most fruit buy. As prices bottle climbing, especially in direct sales, margins have soared. Suddenly, the grape growers of the most coveted vineyards could choose their customers. prices rose, grape and producers have managed to lock their customers grape contracts long term. These contracts are part of the root of the crisis.
But for the purposes of this part of history, we chose to focus on a different part of the market: the fair new wineries bottle. These areas, many as small as 10 acres, has spent a lot on earth, then spent much tearing the earth and planting. Some began by simply growing and selling grapes before bottling wine on their own. Some went directly bottling under their own brand. They have built business models (most of which proved to be Excel spreadsheet Fiction) based on what was happening along the Silverado Trail. They spent a fortune on French oak barrels (as the dollar has dropped precipitously), hired consulting winemakers, and prepared for the gravy.
To really enjoy the crisis, we have created a sampler of three of the most inspired films of these new, small areas. There is deep, plush Carl Roy sensational 2007 vintage Cabernet with grapes from Howell Mountain and Soda Canyon, the Crane Brothers' is a perfect blend " (The best of the best vineyards of this blank) called Brodatious, and the delicious, rich Maple Lane Cabernet from their vineyard between St. Helena and Calistoga. Two bottles each of these gems of Napa-tiny production, sold for less than 50 cents on the dollar! Here's why.
Almost uniformly, the caves above, and dozens of others up and down the valley were facing a new reality. Just like the winemakers were prepared to launch their brands, wholesalers clammed up. $ 50 bottles flying from wholesale warehouses saved. Rather than take on new suppliers, wholesalers have been cajoling existing suppliers, explaining how the market was on its ear, for which prices had to come. For new players on the block, the wholesale market collapsed a few months at the end of 2008.
Regarding sales direct traffic slowed on Highway 29. Other caves with more mature programs have increased their budgets for direct marketing. These new cellars were not positioned to play live, their mailing lists have been weak, their prowess immature direct marketing. The phones have been ringing off the hook not 18 months before were silent. The wine was the backup in the warehouse and the grapes – so the grapes would not cease to grow, year after year.
What will happen to these companies? Some will close. But owned and operated family businesses will scramble to understand how to survive. The vineyard are excellent, the wine is already very good and the old vines, it might be too great. They tighten their belts, and they seek means for sophisticated consumers of wine to taste their wines. Today, many call WineAccess.
How long will this last? We'll tell you more about this in the coming weeks. But in the meantime, at those prices, the time to buy Napa Cabernet is now. Click here to learn more.

Napa Valley Travel Guide
Napa Valley, the Bay Area, California, is the main wine producing region of the United States of America and one of the major wine regions of the world. It is also known for its gourmet restaurants, cafes, and spa-treatment centers.
Napa Valley, a world famous wine region, is one of the most popular tourist attractions in California. More than five million visitors come every year, often overcrowding of roads on weekends in summer. Peak times are the summer and the harvest "crush" in September and October. Napa Valley is home to over two hundred wineries. With wine as a focus, a large dining room naturally emerged to compliment. The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in St. Helena provides a constant stream of well-trained chefs, supplementing the already prestigious chefs drawn by the reputation Napa Valley and local.
Napa is warmer in summer than Sonoma County to the west or Santa Barbara County, a county wine of Southern California. Thus, for the vineyards of Napa varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, while Pinot Chardonnay and Black are the specialty of Sonoma wineries and Santa Barbara wineries. At the north end of Napa County, in the Mayacamas Mountains, lies Mount St. Helena, the Bay Area's second Peak higher at 4,344 feet (1,323 m) and the home of Robert Louis Stevenson State Park. Viticulture in Napa has suffered a setback when prohibition was enacted across the country in 1920. Promote the damage was a root louse phylloxera infestation which killed many vines in the valley. These two events caused many wineries to shut down and stalled growth the wine industry in Napa County for years. After the Second World War, the wine industry in Napa began to flourish again.

I love touring Italy – Spring in the Marches
The Walk is a narrow region of central Italy that is on Gourmet typical regional products with hundreds of stalls and stands. One of the best wines of this region, Rosso Conero Riserva DOCG from this region.
The city of Fermignano, population 8500, located about 40 miles (70 km) west of Ancona, holds the Golden Frog Race (Palio) Sunday after Easter. This means that 11 April 2010 and 1 May 2011. In this human race competitors must keep their race to leave tiny frogs their wheelbarrows. This tradition of racing frog seems to have started a little over four hundred years. After this afternoon the limit there is a historical costume contest and fireworks. I certainly would not ask for frog legs at a local trattoria.
During the last week of April Sagra dei Food Garagoj. "Garagoj" in the dialect means a cooked fish special local fishermen on the beach. You can serve this fish with a Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC or DOC Verdicchio di Matelica white wine, but beware, their quality varies widely.
On the first Sunday in May, the town of Tolentino, the Rancia commemorating the 1815 battle that some call the first battle of the war of Italian independence. The town of Camerino, population 7 miles, approximately 25 miles (40 kilometers) southwest of Ancona, holds the Festa Marche fifteenth century between the first and second weeks of May, which coincides with the feast of its patron saint, San Venanzio. This festival features food, games, and wine. A strong point is the Corsa alla spada in which the competitors race up the wonderful city of steep streets and streets. Do not miss the Giostra della Quintana (historic jousting tournament). I can not promise you wine fifteenth century.

Kwan Yin on the Economy: Can we overcome greed?
From time to time so that the Masters will say something quickly and move then. I guess it's not that important to them, but for us it's like a little bomb. During a session with Marjorie Musacchio, a Yin Kwan and Master Ascended channels, one teacher talked about the economy because we are in the dark Date Friday, 20-year anniversary and the crisis of 1929. I therefore asked Kwan Yin about this and here is what it says:
"It will make a turn. There is a rhythm to it. We're not going to say that go crashing around the ears of everyone, but there's only time when people have very little attention to where he is they put their attention. If you are putting their attention – it's great – who need to have more money in their life so they can find freedom and to feel the sense of being happy, then they will have more lessons than the rest of the population. You say, how can this happen when everyone is in a stock market or an economy? That attachment. When people are attached, they feel more pain. With less attachment, they will not feel the strain as much. "
Craig: "So, something is brewing."
Kwan Yin: "Oh yes.
Craig: "Will it be this year?"
Kwan Yin: "Well, we can see that there are rhythms will be his. You've certainly experienced the "Oh, look at this … Oh, look at that "but as far as everyone running jump out the window as before, we do not see that happening. Astrologically, it is similar, but each time you ride the mountains, it's different. If the little ones of their conscience are working with the higher consciousness, and responsiveness have awareness, they are not going to put all their attention on having to have physical material needs met. But the biggest part of your company is there. As you move in the coming months, recognizing and aware of what is happening, to restore the inside of yourself as "I am the source of all good, then send any the world around you. send it to every bank in your community. send it deep into the idea and idealism of the community people who are committed to obtaining a trade will be their God. Trade is not the God. "
Craig: "In our book, I asked about the economy and you have answered my question with a question by saying "What comes after the depression? Recession. Could it we're already in recession, but it stands artificially?
Kwan Yin: "Yes."
Craig: "Because it simply entries on a computer screen, its all just held by zeros and ones. "
Kwan Yin: "And it just held by people who want, want, want, need, need, need, project, project, project. "
Craig: "And the vast greed."
Kwan Yin: "So pray for them so they can solve their needs and their greed without all the people with them. "
Craig "You see that solar energy will come up and people will try to get more independent with it?"
Kwan Yin: "We don not see in the near future. We see that people think about it. Is it going to happen? Not so fast. There are groups of people who are really moving in this awareness. But we talked about cities, they are not the best of consciousness to exist in. You move through the configuration of the country where it is the grass is speaking to you rather than bricks. It is more useful, yes? "
"There are sooo many things happening in all worlds. There are moments in time where the brain will say absolutely, I can not … can not … can not, and then suddenly it clicks in. just spend time with the "I can not" because it's the brain saying that. But once you come to stay in balance mode, which happens more and more receptive. More rest, more responsiveness, a new name for the "R" word. The rest, receptivity and retention. Take your rest, relaxation and your memory in a part of your day and you keep your spirit higher. It is very important because people will be wrapped in where they go, then all of a sudden they will not go there, what we can tell you. "
