How to make homemade wine: the importance of wine aging
The key to understanding how to make homemade wine that age is that all wines, regardless of whether you did it at home or bought at a wine shop or store will eventually spoil if left uneaten. That means you have to make or buy wine that will last only a specific period of time so that through the ages before choosing to eat.
Learn wine storage helps you in the house How winemaking
The wine depends on how a house on the use of facilities proper storage of wine, a wine cellar, so that the wine you last longer in safe conditions. If the wine has been stored properly, it allows wine to age properly so that the bouquet (aroma of the wine) and the flavor will always optimal. Since a lot of money to the cost of house wine (even when you are aiming to liquidate with cheap wine) you want to make your homebrew last longer than the longest you enjoy.
The storage room or wine cellar that you select must be both dark and damp (wet) and a room temperature stable approximately 55 degrees Fahrenheit, with humidity hovering around 80%. The ambient temperature is to avoid temperature changes wild and stay at the 55 degrees Fahrenheit cool level so that the cold weather retards the aging of your wine. If your storage space is rather tepid, then your wine will age faster (and you risk deteriorating too much wine.)
If you can not find a good room dark and damp, an option (but more expensive) is to use a wine chiller electric power. You can also try simply using the basement of your house appropriate. The refrigerator is good for areas that can not guarantee a stable temperature for various reasons, so if you can find the budget to pay electricity costs of operating a refrigerator wine that may be feasible for you.
Another consideration in wine storage is that all bottles of wine should be stored horizontally, not vertically. This allows the wine itself to remain constant contact with the cap (if you still use cork wine bottles on top) so that the cap be humidified 24 / 7. This humidification any hour of the cap will keep your bottle tightly closed without the cap being distorted out of shape if it dries. In return, if the bottle is sealed air and can not go beyond the cork, the oxygenation of your wine can not occur and you can age your wine bottle lot longer than you think. This is also why you need a room with high humidity – the humidity keeps your cork moist and stable, which prevents a drastic drying on wine cork.
Selecting the correct wine refrigerator for your storage needs
A wine refrigerator is not the same as your standard family-sized refrigerator. In fact, to choose your refrigerator wine correctly, you need to know how many bottles you plan to store in the first. Some wine coolers may be able to store a minimum of six bottles, while most wine coolers can accept more bottles of wine storage. But your wine refrigerator can not absorb as many bottles you need to calculate your ability to, to avoid surpluses. If you use a wine chiller, it is far better than less produce more than produce wine.
Family refrigerators used to store foods like meat and vegetables can be useful for foods such storage, but is generally unacceptable for wine storage refrigerators because the family is too cold. The refrigerator of food must be colder than 50 degrees Fahrenheit to keep food which means your wine will be stored in conditions that are far too cold for the best process aging. Another reason why you can not use your family fridge to store the wine of good quality because you often open and close your refrigerator to get food, drinks and other things – it means that the wine you store will be subjected to temperature fluctuations which is just as bad for wine.
To make things even more complicated, different types of wine will require different ranges of temperature for storing wine. This means that if you have a variety of wines stored in a single wine cooler, you might be surprised why some wines do well here and some do not as well. The dry white wines as well as blush and all varieties of roses should be stored in the vicinity of 55 degrees only. Sparkling wine and champagne is never stored in a refrigerator for storing wine. Light red wine will develop in exactly 55 degrees. Any full-bodied wines that you plan to store the wine must be kept colder than 55 degrees as well. As you can see, because each type of wine has its own cooling needs, you can have a better chance to keep your wine stored in the refrigerator and wine if you only use one variety wine.
If you are eyeing to make a huge batch of wine, it may be more convenient to store this huge batch of wine in a wine cellar instead.
If the climate of your region is that it is possible to have a wine cellar or a basement, then choose the wine fridge, but do little Lots of wine only. This also gives you some leeway in case your booty wine, you can analyze what happened and make the necessary changes in your process of home brewing. If you are still in a learning stage for this recipe, small batches are good to test the first result, before progress to make in large quantities.
Always compare the terms and conditions as well as retail prices for different brands and models wine coolers too before buying one. The characteristics of the wine chiller for cooling and storage must always take precedence over the hull externally.
